How to sew lace sheath dress
Everyone always wish to wear a dress which looks pretty and attractive. This white lace dress looks simple and elegant. Let see how to sew a pretty lace dress
7+8. Trim the bottom of the dress, the sleeves, and the neckline to follow the lace pattern.
9. IRON!
Instructions:
1. Use a boxy top or dress and lay it out on top of your lace. Cut it out mimicking the sleeves (only if short sleeves). measure your hips, ad 5 or so inches (the more you add the looser it will be). Make sure that will be the width of the bottom of the dress. If you are cutting out the fabric with just a top, then use your length from shoulder to knee and taper from your chest to the opening measurement. Sew up the sides and the shoulders.
2. Repeat with the lining, making it just a little tighter. Sew up the sides and the shoulders
3. Cut the neckline lower and hem the neckline and the sleeves. Makibg sure that the lace will poke out further than the lining to create that lacey edge.
4. hem the bottom of the lining to be a shorter than the lace will be.
5. Turn the lining and the lace right side out (try it all on and make sure it is how you want it to be fitted. Then match up the shoulder seams and hand sew the seams together on the seam line so it will be a little hidden.
6. Do the same under the armpit area.
